Summary of Profile

I am Ogunyinka, Olawale Ige, born in Lagos, Nigeria on the 21st of March, 1979. I’m Masters Degree (M.Sc.) in Computer Engineering from the University of East London in October 2012, also I have a Post Graduate Diploma (PGD), Higher National Diploma (HND) and National Diploma (ND) certificates from The Federal University of Technology, Akure, Ondo State, Yaba College of Technology, Yaba, Lagos State and The Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, Ogun State all in Nigeria in the years 2006, 2001 and 1998 respectively. I am a Cisco Certified I.T Essentials Instructor.

My academic career started in the Department of Computer Engineering as a Technologist II in 2006 and I rose through the ranks to become a Principal Technologist in 2012, until my conversion to Lecturer Cadre in 2016 when I became a Lecturer III in the same department. In the cause of my academic duties, I’ve been involved in the of teaching of practical and lecture of some courses which includes, Computer Aided Design and Drafting, Computer Graphics and Animation, Fundamentals of GSM Technology and Computer Packages.

My research interest is mainly in Precision Agriculture with emphasis on the use of Microcontrollers and Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) to improve on farm Irrigation System in a bid to conserve water and improve crop yield through adequate and precise water supply. A few of my journal and conference papers attest to my findings in my research area.

I am happily married with children.
